As the seasons change, a lot is happening at Vanity Hair & Makeup Studio! Fall is bringing fresh looks, continued education, new beginnings, and some exciting changes for our Vanity family.
From investing in advanced training and salon leadership to preparing for Jess’s maternity leave, we’re heading into the season focused on one thing: growth.
At Vanity, continuing education isn’t just about keeping up with the latest hair techniques. It’s about strengthening our team, improving the experience we provide our clients, and continuing to grow as a salon.
Recently, members of the Vanity team participated in professional development focused on two very different, but equally important, sides of the beauty industry: advanced technical education and salon leadership.
Vanity stylist Claire recently completed an Evolve Hair Extensions professional development class, where she trained in new techniques for Malia Extensions.
The updated methods are designed to make extension installation more efficient, helping to reduce time in the chair and make extensions more cost-effective for clients while still delivering the seamless, natural-looking results we love.
At the same time, Vanity owner Heidi was investing in the business side of the salon through a professional salon business roundtable.
The roundtable brought salon professionals together to talk about the real-world opportunities and challenges facing the beauty industry today. Topics included salon operations, reception and front-desk practices, marketing, compensation plans, industry trends, and ways to continue building a strong salon team and client experience.
Technology was also a big part of the conversation, including the growing role of AI in the beauty industry, new AI-based salon software, and how these tools may help salons operate more efficiently and improve the client experience.
It was an opportunity to exchange ideas with other salon professionals, learn what’s working in the industry, and bring some fresh perspectives back to Vanity.
Growth is happening in another very special way at Vanity! After months of anticipation, Jess is officially heading out on maternity leave on October 15. We’re so excited for Jess and her growing family and can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with her.
While she’s away, the rest of the Vanity team will be here to take great care of you and keep your hair looking its best.
We're excited to welcome Sage Beauvais to Vanity Hair & Makeup Studio! A graduate of the Paul Mitchell School of Hair Design, Sage brings creativity, enthusiasm, and hands-on experience in cutting, coloring, and styling. She's also a recent magna cum laude graduate of UNH, where she earned dual degrees in History and Anthropology. Sage is passionate about helping clients look and feel their best, and we can't wait for you to meet her!
Sage is now accepting appointments! Book your next cut, color, or style with her and help us give her a warm Vanity welcome!
As Vanity continues to grow, we’re looking for another talented person to join our salon family.
It’s a great opportunity to work alongside an experienced team, continue developing your skills, and grow into a larger role at Vanity. Know someone who sounds like the perfect fit? Send them our way!
